  This museum is located in Al Ahsa and highlights the cultural and historical dimension of Al Ahsa, besides spreading awareness among the people. It is installed by the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA). It was built in 1403 (AH), corresponding to 1983, on a land space of 7000 m2. It was opened for public in 1407 (AH), corresponding to 1987, and it includes the following: Museum display halls. Administration. Survey and drawing laboratory. Photography laboratory. Restoration laboratory. Restoration hall TV shows hall. Housing of researchers. Library: It contains a collection of specialized books as well as some periodicals and fliers. Warehouse. Museum Display Halls Entrance Hall: It contains paintings and maps showing the archaeological sites in Al Ahsa, the museums network in the Kingdom, some photographs and antiques. Prehistoric Pavilion: It contains some maps, texts and pictures showing the beginning of the human being, the emergence of earth, geological layers of the earth, the Stone Ages and their implements, and most important sites in Al Ahsa, the Al Ahsa wildlife, and the beginning of the domestication of animals and marine life in the region. Pre-Islamic Pavilion: It talks about the Dilmun period, and exhibits photos and findings belong to that period as well as the business, and desert and sea road maps in the Arabian Peninsula. There are also alphabetic writing and languages in the Arabian Peninsula before and after Islam with the provision of some models. Islamic Pavilion: It talks about the Islamic period in the east of the Arabian Peninsula, and the emergence of Islam in the area. It displays pictures and findings of that period. In addition, it shows the local rulers of Al Ahsa (the Oyoonian – Osfoorian - Jabrioon), the Ottoman period, the First Saudi state, the Second Saudi state until the recapture of Al Ahsa by late king, King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud. Unification of the Kingdom: It is talks about the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through displayed paintings, photographs, and films for the periods of local heritage and the Bedouin, rural and civil lifestyles in Al Aha, in addition to the old cities and souqs (markets) of Al Ahsa. Work is currently underway on the preparation of studies and scenarios to create a world-class modern museum. Visiting Hours:
