::The Abdul Raouf Khalil museum consists of the main buildings, the mosque, the facade of the castle, the home of the Saudi Arabian heritage, the home of the Islamic heritage, the home of the World Heritage, exhibit heritage overall. The The museum not only presents the rich Islamic cultural heritage of the city but also its preilamic history that goes back to 2500 years; it traces the various civilizations that inhabited the region. Located in the downtown district, the Abdul Raouf Khalil’s Museum in Jeddah boasts of large collection of items and artifacts belonging to the Ottoman Turks and the fishermen tribes who were the first inhabitants of the region .

::From outside looks good. But it's closed

::Too big to see during opening times. Aim to do two floors. 80 riyal entry is excessive.

::Very interesting look at Saudi cultural history and Arab cultural history in general. Lots of traditional clothing, art, furniture, coins, tools, everyday items, etc. LOTS to see, so there's something for everyone. Many rooms have been transformed into accurate replicas of traditional rooms and houses. It takes about 4 hours to see everything, but if you pick and choose the things you're most interested in seeing, you could do it in 2-3 hours. Highly recommended if you're interested in cultural history and museums. A rare find in Saudi Arabia.
