::Exceptionally professional guys. Open 7 am to 4 pm (except prayer times) on Sun-Thu. Friday closed and Saturday 7-2 pm. I went on Saturday morning. Reached at 8:45 am and finished at 9:50 am. Do not be afraid of an apparently very long line, stay in one line. It will keep on moving at a reasonable pace. Before getting there make sure all lights, indicators, wipers, parking lights, brakes are in perfect condition. Preferably change engine oil a day before. A few yemenis will chase ur car while in line. They check your brakes and light bulbs and alignment. They are expert in streamlining things without disturbing ur position in the line. You will show ur registration at the payment booth sitting in ur car, when the line reaches there. He will charge the inspection fee. Keep money for inspection fee as well as small repairs. Once in the inspection hall, he will tell you to go away and car will go through a series of checks in 5-7 minutes, unless a car in front of your car gets stuck at some station. If your car passes the tests a sticker is pasted on screen, you are given a receipt and you go home. If there is a failure, take ur failed items list, just go out, on the left side many small workshops with “inspection item expert mechanics” are lined. Get the items repaired in 15-30 minutes. Get back in the line like before. This time the fee will be 1/3 rd. Surely u will get through. If you do not have time on the given day, return some other day after repairs according to the failed item list. Last point.... keep some water and a sandwich with you and you can read something while in line (i read a few chapters of quran). Goodluck, and don’t be afraid.
